(First appeared in The Progressive Populist) Any day now (and it may have already occurred), Donald Trump will announce he is willing to lead the country on a return trip to Mordor — though those may not be his exact words — and run for president again.
Trump will announce his intention to run after the mid-terms. It will likely come down to trump and DeSantis. Abbot may also run. Kristi Noem may be on a ticket as the second banana, as may Nikki Haley. 'For balance' as the republicans might say, to counteract their Roe v Wade glee.
I do get the sense if DJT doesn't run -- or loses to DeSantis -- the GOP will be done with all the Trumps and Jr can then run for governor of New York and make an honest woman out of Guilfoyle, something she hasn't been of late.
