Excuuuuse me, but "poverty VANISHED" should read "poverty BANISHED". I looked it up because it just didn't sound right. Damn substack doesn't allow attachments so I can't attach a screenshot of the small white granite obelisk outside Florida's Bradford County Courthouse on which are etched these words of American Atheists founder Madalyn O'Hair. It's not impossible a copy doesn't exist somewhere that reads "vanished" instead of "banished", however.
