Would have told Ronald Wayne, the former Apple employee who sold his 10 percent share of the company in 1976 for $800 (that 10 percent would have eventually been worth $83 billion): “Sell before it drops to $600. I’m really terrific at predicting the future value of a company. This one won’t last. Trust me.”

Would have told the Japanese: “Pick a place in Hawaii and bomb it. Americans won’t care and Roosevelt won’t go to war over it.”

Would have advised Pete Best: “No one will know who the Beatles are in six months. And, what, a guy named ‘Ringo’ is going to replace you? Please. Leave now, while you can. You’re Pete Fucking Best. The rest of them are losers.”
