O Meu Diário de Coimbra
Ever loyal and undefeated
Porto is Brooklyn to Lisbon’s Manhattan.
It has half as many people and, according to Nina, a much better “vibe.”
She was supposed to fly from Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport to London on Thursday, spend two days in the UK before flying back to Oregon and to her goats, cats, and boyfriend Dave. She and Dave refer to each other as “partners” but this is my blog and I’ve already used her word “vibe” (I love my daughter but a father must draw the rhetorical line somewhere). She then decided that going to London for two days, especially considering it takes 14 hours to get in and out of the city’s airports was insane, so chose, instead, to spend the remainder of her vacation in a city officially known as the “Ancient, Very Noble, Ever Loyal and Undefeated City of Porto.”
We took the train up from Coimbra on Tuesday.
