Continuing our alphabetic tour of the great nations of Europe, we head this week to Luxembourg — that’s the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, you rubes. Make no mistake about it, either. Luxembourg is the mother of all duchies. Actually, it’s the only duchy in the world, but let’s not quibble.

And in today’s homophonic moment, Donald Trump is a douche, not a duchy.

(I’ll see myself out.)

Not that he wouldn’t love be one, though.

The Constitution places the head of state in a unique position outside common law . . . provides that the person of the Grand Duke is inviolable, in other words he cannot be tried by any court, and he cannot be asked to be held accountable for his actions. This inviolability implies complete non-accountability. This non-accountability is general and absolute from both a penal and political standpoint. The Grand Duke's inviolability and non-accountability ensure the stability of the monarchical institution and ensure his impartiality with respect to the political world.

I bet the UNDER (+/-2.5) on the times I’d see “inviolable” when I started writing this.
