Been awhile since our old friend schooled us on what it all means
(And thanks to friend of the blog Adam Finkel for reminding me about the need for Peg Moments.)
Trump is bringing about a new era, some say error — politics can be mean -- but see how the words are so, so, I guess you could say, close. My land, the language is so beautiful, so, how do I say, closer to each other, the words -- those who, how do I say, craft and mold them. I craft them. I love the words and I feel they love in return. In America, an America that many say is not America but others say is not -- we're all Americans. Who’s to judge? It is, ah, something more emotional, more tribal and visceral. It’s chemical and internal and local, yes, but also national, international, orbital, alas universal. Trump is both Arthur Miller’s Willie Loman and Tennessee Williams’ Stanley Kowalski, but older, on vodka, Red Bull, and Ketamine it seems sometimes — oh the combination, I share too much — it’s the way men, ah, men, their sinews and breath upon my body back in the day, grunting, panting, exploding in release and, at times, yes, guilt. Who can forget when Willie cheated on his wife or Stanley raped his sister in law? Men did that.
