First they came for Civil Rights, and the conservative majority of the Supreme Court did not speak out—because they were not black (or were Black but didn’t want to be).
Then they came for campaign finance laws, and the conservative majority of the Supreme Court did not speak out—because they were not going to bite the hand of their benefactors (or anger those who control those who control them).
Then they came for women who sought control of their own bodies, and the conservative majority of the Supreme Court did not speak out—because they were not women who want to control their own bodies (or were women but didn’t care she was now chattel in many states).
Then they came for the agencies that make the federal government function, and the conservative majority of the Supreme Court did not speak out — because they were not among those who want a functioning federal government.
Then they came for those who sought justice for the criminal acts of Donald Trump, and the conservative majority of the Supreme Court did not speak out — because they were not concerned that Donald Trump was claiming to be (and is now) above the law.
And when they come for the conservative majority of the Supreme Court for not being conservative enough or for crossing Donald Trump (and they will) — there will be no one left to speak out for them.
You wonder if they know that?
Couldn't have written it any better.
Bravo.
